#World Youth Day (WYD 2008) was the largest youth event held in Sydney from July 2008. It has been said to have attracted over 223,000 registered pilgrims, including 110,000 from 170 nations, making it the largest event ever hosted in Australia. Gatto Christian Shop were very proud to have supported the Perth “Days in the Diocese” adventure and what a great platform to begin a friendship with the most amazing Catholic Youth Perth has ever seen. We continue our support today with the Youth Ministry and look forward to more Faith Filled adventures in the future....don't forget to look out for their new 2010 Priest Calendar (all proceeds go towards their activities).
#We have been extremely fortunate to meet up with Friar Justin Belitz, a member of the Order of Friars Minor, founded in 1223 by St. Francis of Assisi, and the founding director of The Franciscan Hermitage in Indianapolis. It’s not Fr Justin’s degrees in Philosophy, Theology, Music Education or Psychorientology that make his books dynamic, but his very obvious compassion in awaking the values of Faith to his audience. We are very appreciative that he could visit the shop and share his books and insight to all on the day; “Success: Full Living” is just one of his books that puts Spirit back into Life.

Conferences, held throughout the year in Perth, Albany and Bunbury, are a vital part of the professional development that supports continuing improvement in Catholic Education, and more importantly ensuring all students reach their potential. By supporting RAISe throughout the year Gatto Christian Shop also remain committed to the developmental focus of Faith instilled Literacy, numeracy and learning.... with some added learning curves along the way.
#Perth author Bridget Curran’s book is a simple, honest and contemporary collection of stories depicting individual encounters of Mary; how her beautiful grace has touched people’s lives and their culture. We and others have had a great opportunity in joining Bridget in-store and to share in making sense of Mary’s message and reflecting on her apparitions as covered in her book “The Miracles of Mary”. Thank you to all those who came along and we hope to meet Bridget again in the near future to share in her next project.

Representatives in Liturgy from all Dioceses in Australia and beyond have been invited to come together with the focus being on the implementation process for the new Catholic Missal.
